I got my ring sling from herbal baybee was only about £20 is machine washable and comes in different colours.

They do padded ones with padding at shoulder and I think around the hip part. I didn't bother with that, just got a normal unpadded one.

You Tube has tons and tons of tutorial videos and tips. I would have been lost without them!

Another great website with lots and lots of advice and different slings to buy is love to be natural

What age is your child? I didn't get a ring sling till my DD was around 4 months old, wore her facing in the way, until she was more sturdy and could face out. She's now 10 months and can be worn on my hip, although I often find she's too wriggly to wear her this way for long as she tries to throw herself out to get down to the floor to play Confused

A common thing people say is that slings are good for breastfeeding, but I just couldn't get the hang of it. I watched videos online to try to teach myself, but I never could and still can't feed my DD while she's in a sling.

See if there's a local sling meet or sling library near where you live - Google should tell you - as you'll be able to try out different slings before buying any.

Hope that helps!
