Please help a cloth nappy virgin with a stupid question!

I'm about to trial bamboozle stretchies with a motherease wrap overnight on my 20 mo daughter. Disposables have been leaking overnight despite trying different brands/sizes.
I've never used cloth nappies before and it's a bit bewildering! I have fleece liners and super boosters as well in an attempt to stop leaks. Just wanted to check what order the various parts go together (I said it was a stupid question!) - the fleece liner presumably goes next to the skin but does the super booster go between the nappy and the wrap or within the actual nappy itself?
Thanks so much... Smile

Its up to you tbh. I tend to put boosters between the nappy and the wrap so the nappy fits better, but you can pop it in the nappy if you prefer. The fleece goes next to the skin, and make sure the wrap is good and tight with no gaping around the legs. Good luck! Xxx

I think if putting the booster in the wrap makes it really tight you're more likely to get leaks from the pressure, I have the fixed booster in the nappy and an extra one between the nappy and wrap.,, the wrap should fit quite loosely over the whole thing for the same reason x

That should read *if putting the booster in the nappy!

Thanks so much to you both for your advice. Really helpful. Smile
I'm actually weirdly excited about giving cloth nappies a go - keeping my fingers and toes crossed we don't have too many leaks!

Ha ha... I was so excited before my DS turned up and kept looking at them - especially the teeny ones! 8 months in and I'm sadly still excited by the stash! I'm sure sposie users don't feel like this Wink

Good to hear the excitement doesn't wear off, Kel!
I'm secretly hoping we don't get night time leaks with the cloth nappies and then I can switch over to cloth during the day too - at the moment I'm doing lots of washing with a mostly empty machine (from booster/liner in a disposable overnight) AND filling up the local landfill with daytime disposables which feels like the worst of all worlds. Hmm
Would need to go for something faster drying than the bamboozle stretchies for daytime though - stiiiill damp after pre-washing so haven't been able to try them out yet. Anyway, one step at a time - need to see how we get on overnight first!

I used some red fleece nappies overnight (can't remember brand) with motherease wrap. The didn't leak.

It was these. So one of these wraps with the motherease nappies.. Sorry it was years ago but they didn't leak (grin)

Oh definitely.... There are loads of different nappies that are MUCH faster drying for the day than the stretchies... My stretchies and little lambs take double the time to dry than the others but they are so good for a 15 hour stretch! Those day nappies are a whole new thread SmileGrin
