Cheap baby monitor?

We bought a second hand BT baby monitor for when we had ds. It's lasted just over 8 months, but seems to now be on it's way out.
Could some one please recommend a cheap but efficient replacement, please?

If you have an iPad and iPhone, or two iPhones, there is a cheap app called BabyMonitor 3G. You have to leave one device with the baby of course, but it uses the camera of the device and it's bloody brilliant.

BT monitors are reasonable.

We have this one and it's great - although we did end up buying a lanyard so we could carry it about as it's not great to fit in pockets/hands when you move about.

There's a whole board for discussion of baby monitors. Not the liveliest bit of MN, but always worth a look when you have a specific question.

Indeed there's a whole set of "products" forums (use the "talk" tab to take you to all topics) many of which will be most use to those equipping a nursery.

Thank you all. I came across a lot of unused tescos club card vouchers, so dh is looking there on the way home. I'd like a BT one again, but depends what's on offer in store Grin
