What sort of behaviour? Is he aggressive towards other children? It sounds as though the school also have concerns. Make an appointment with the class teacher and the headteacher to find out what his behaviour is like in school. There are many, many reasons why a young child should be 'badly behaved' or lack concentration. Some of it could be copying teenagers at home or TV? Is that possible? I would also contact your Doctor for a referral to a child specialist, if you have serious concerns.

I would speak to your GP. They should be able to advise as to whether you need a CAMHS assessment.

I have a child that has talked about voices in their head telling them to do things. It is scary for us, as parents to hear because we cant help but think of this as "psychotic" behaviour and a symptom of schizophrenia.

In fact schizophrenia can only be diagnosed in adulthood (over 25?) and the hearing of voices by children can often be just their way of describing their thoughts etc.

My DC is under CAMHS for a variety of other things and this "hearing voices" is not a concern for paediatric mental health professionals.

I would contact your GP first and they can advise you about CAMHS or make the referral etc
