On FB, someone on my timeline linked to a FB profile of a child in dd's class at school. They are 7/8yo's.

Genuinely shocked by this.

Wondering what other MNer reactions are?

Is it worth reporting? Or just let it go

Thanks in advance

We had this come to light at school a while back.

I think it's just unnecessary, what 8 yr old needs a Facebook account. Just asking for trouble.
On very dodgy ground in my opinion.

It's frightening. The child has no privacy controls in place either.

At my school a number of the Reception children have their own accounts - quite ridiculous / pointless in my opinion.

Report it to FB.

I know a few kids on FB. It is pointless. Some people have FB pages before they are even born. Sad people imo.

FB have an age limit & they need to enforce this.

Thanks for responses.
At least I'm not alone in being utterly Shock by this.

I'm nervous about reporting, but also worried by it.

I hate being a responsible parent!

Report it. They won't know it was anything to do with you. FBI should shut it down (not sure how!)
It's is scary.

Smartiepants79 · 09/06/2013 21:42

Sorry Facebook NOT the FBI! Grin

RedPencils · 09/06/2013 21:49
