Anyone else got an 11yo who thinks because the SATS are over they can do as they please?

Got to bed late.
Get up when they want.
Not do school work.
Eat everything they want from the cupboards when they want it.
And it goes on.............

I think that's just a product of being a pre-teen rather than directly related to the end of SATs; though I must admit, the build up to SATs was probably keeping their inner teenager in check!

I was more surprised than DS when he had homework over the holidays; I assumed they would just be coasting for this last half term given the timetable; Bikeability, PHSE, concert, residential, party!

I like "my work here is done-itis" Grin

Perhaps they should move SATs to the end of June!

My 11 yr old DD goes to a middle school so there's no big fish small pond syndrome.
This week the whole school is taking part in some activities week so the normal timetable has been suspended but from next Monday they are all back to proper timetable.
No taking their feet of the accelerator at their school.
