Gastro/Digestive problems in 11mo...or am I over-thinking?

I have no idea if every baby gets this or whether there is something wrong with DS.

He's been diagnosed with silent reflux at 7mo - he's been on meds since Jan. I have noticed that he tends to find some foods more uncomfortable than others - tomatoes, apples being the major culprits.

But he also seems to have extreme reactions in his digestive system , which only rear their ugly head at night- at the moment, for instance, he's woken twice since 7pm (and he's exhausted), and is really really upset, writhing around etc. Last time he woke up (about half an hour ago) he settled only after breaking wind, and some nights he wants to do that an awful lo, and will jack knife until he does. These kind of symptoms are going to be a massive pain in the backside for us tonight, as he will be waking up a hell of a lot.

He just seems to be extraordinarily sensitive in the tummy/gut area but whenever a dr has examined him they just say 'well his tummy doesn't feel hard...' Is there anything else I should be questioning them on or asking? I feel like DS's reactions are extreme but can't quite understand what might be at the root of them. I kind of think that, at 11mo, his digestive tract should be able to cope with what's going through it (he's not on an awful lot of solids - he eats well during the day but towards the evening we bring solids down because he has 8oz of milk before bed). I've noticed that he does worse on days he eats bread - he's at nursery so it's very difficult to experiment with cutting food out, and part of me doesn't want to until I kind of understand IF there's a problem and what it is if so.

Am I overthinking this - is he 'just being a baby' or is this not a normal reaction at 11mo?

My little has silent reflux. Do you think this could be acid breakthrough? Omeprazole has an 8 hr half life and night times are worse if you dose in the morning?

Thanks cuddlydragon - I used to think it was an acid flare (and sometimes it blatantly is) but the farting/need to fart scenarios don't seem to fit that. We give Omeprazole at 615 - he has his bottle before bed (yes, I know) at 7pm.

Wind goes hand in hand with my DS, have you tried baby probiotics? We had them after a dose of antibiotics and he's been much less windy and I've kept them going. Cucumber and peppers are a huge cause for us.
