Currently he is in a long sleeved vest over his nappy and a long sleeved jersey nightgown which pulls down over legs as elasticated at bottom.

Does he need blankets?

What he is wearing sounds plenty to me. That or only a long sleeve babygrow with one light blanket.

Totally jealous of the three week old baby BTW Grin

We have a very warm house and my DS's room gets up to 28. We used those gro bags and followed their recommendations. And what you've got on him sounds fine to me. Don't put blankets on him I think he'll be too warm. He's 3 weeks old so you'll probably be in and out all night with him do keep an eye on the temp, if it cools during the night you can always add a blanket.

Check his tummy if it feels cool then add a sheet, but not a blanket. If warm (not hot) then what he has on will be fine.
