Baby clothes - how much at the start?

I'm expecting DD2 in a month so you'd think I would remember how much stuff you need but clearly my brain is just not up to scratch at the moment and I can't see the wood for the trees.

When we had our first DD, we got given a huge amount of second-hand clothes for 0-3 months and I kept it all. Now looking at it, I reckon I could probably give or sell at least half of it, and we could do with the space!

So how much of everything should I keep? i.e. how many:
vests, long and short-sleeved - 14?
Babygros - 14?
tops - 10?
trousers/dungarees - 5/10?
dresses - 5?

Thanks in advance

It depends how often you want to be doing the washing!

I was in the same position and just kept everything, that way if I was too tired to wash, no problem, we just discovered lower down the drawer.

I'd keep it all too. You might have a baby that's sick a lot or clothes that get poo stained. Selling clothes won't give you very much money and it will annoy you to end up debuting things. You can always sell any good stuff that's left very once your baby's outgrown it.

debuting? No idea where that came from- meant rebuying!

well, I've worked out we have at least 50 babygros and 70 vests so keeping it all is just not an option!
