Hi my milk has just come in and my dd is filling her boots but no matter how much I wind her she vomits a portion back up. Normal? Any top winding tips?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Can only go off my nearly 8 week old BF baby.

He didn't vomit anything back up in the early days, but is a spew monster now.

How much is coming up - is it projectile or is it a teaspoon (ish) worth?

Is she having plenty of wet nappies?

If it's teaspoon (give or take a bit) then that seems normal to me. If it's projectile and lots of it, then that would be something I would bring up with MW/HV (but I am basing that on me and not actual knowledge IYSWIM)

Oh and - congratulations! Thanks

Thanks for quick response, it's a bit various generally a teaspoon worth but earlier a whole lot more. she is tiny just 6lb 2 and had guzzled for 30 mins which is double what she had been doing up until today.

I have midwife check Tom will ask and stop worrying about looking neurotic! Wink

the whole point of being a new parent is being allowed to be neurotic Grin

You aren't being though, not by any measure.

If it's coming out projectile then could be reflux and you should speak to your HV. If it tends to come out with a burp/hiccough then quite normal. DS was a very sicky baby. I had a constantly sticky shoulder for about four months [blushes].

Thanks all, very reassuring and helpful. Midwife confirmed what you all say and observed a feed today and confirmed all good. Thank The Lord for having piles of Muslins! Grin

I'm tired and had to read "muslins" twice! Was wondering what Muslims have to do with burping Grin

Glad you're sorted! Smile
