Travel cots and getting them used to them

We are going to a cottage for a month this summer and I'm thinking of buying the Phil and Ted's or the Baby Bjorn travel cots for my twins as they'll be easy to take on the flight.

Are they ok to be used continuously for that length of time?

Does anyone have any tips about getting babies used to sleeping in them before we go? They will be 7 months old by the time we go.

I'm sure they'd be okay but I have found that travel cot mattresses in general are very thin, so I'd recommend folding a big towel under the mattresses for a little more padding. I have found that just using the same grobag and putting a favourite toy in with my dc's has helped them adjust to a new sleeping environment. My dd2 has a Fisher Price toy seahorse which plays soothing lullabies and glows softly, and I always play it for her when she goes to bed. I took that with us when we went away recently and she slept just fine.
