All the ones I have found seem really serious, require a uniform etc. I think (suspect) he just wants to do it for fun as he is 5 yo and very eccentric

yes IKWYM all the mums and DCs seem to expect serious dance and drama even at 5 (and younger) it's silly really because you buy an expensive uniform etc, and they go off it in 3 weeks 'cos it gets too pressured.

The local library usually has a noticeboard for stuff like that or your supermarket or general shop. Even his school?

If you're in central\North London there's Anna Scher which is more fun and improv. but I'm just remembering that they may have to be older (they have a waiting list though!).

Look on-line for local amateur dramatics companies. Many run children's groups offering dance, drama and signing workshops etc.

Definitely check with school if there's an after-school drama club.
