hi just wonder how long u all give ur toddlers for nap time my 15 month old daughter only has 20 mins to half hour nap around 12 1230 and thats her till bed at 8pm she gets bit tired around teatime so i keep her awake till 8 otherwise she wont sleep at night

I'm sure mine slept between 1-2 hours at that age. Can you not put her to bed earlier than 8pm if she is tired before then? When does she wake in the morning?

We have always done 2hrs (1-3pm), from around 6 months-4years

At around 15 months we dropped our toddler morning nap and shifted his lunchtime nap forward a bit so now (he's 23 months) he sleeps 12-14 and is in bed asleep by 7-7:30. He sleeps until 7/7:30 the following morning. Each child is different, but an early bedtime might help, perhaps she's getting overtired?

Oh yes, at 15months we still had morning nap also.

Are you sure she isn't overtired? Can you try and resettle after waking 20mins in? A sleep cycle of a child is 45 mins so ideally she should get at least this at once

Ds1 gave up naps completely at 15 months. Ds2 has just given them up at 18 months. If they nap at all now (fall asleep in the car) they are up until at least 9pm but if they don't they sleep 7pm - 7am.

Should also say that Ds1 best mate still naps for 2 hours everyday and she is 3yo. They are all different.

My 17 month old is up at around 6am with one 2-2.5hr nap in the afternoon from midday. Then bedtime at 7pm. Been napping like this since about 14 months.

DD is 16mo and has recently (past two weeks), gone down to one nap. She is up between 6.30 & 7.30 and usually has an hour and a half at 12. Bed at seven.

Sometimes she hasnt slept well at nught, and wants her nap by 9.30 and sleeps for two hours. I then put her to bed at 6pm.

Try an earlier bedtime.
