How old were they and who did you leave them with?

How long before/after did you have a family holiday?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes, my bro got married in Australia when ds was a toddler, dh and I went and left ds with my ILs. We had been on a family holiday about 2/3 months previously.

Our DS1 was 1yr 9 months when we went on our honeymoon to Madagascar. He had a wonderful time with GPs and we had a pretty good time too Smile

Went to Andorra skiing for 4 nights when our DS was 22 months. My IL's had him they all had a brilliant time. They've told us to do it again......so we are thinking of 5 nights in NYC in June (DS will be 26months)[shocked]!!

What age are your DC?

For one week yes, when DS was 2. He stayed with GP's and had a ball Smile

(I would have gone for 2weeks no qualms had GP's not had plans the second week)

We've gone away for anything between 7 - 10 nights every year for the past 7 years without our 5 DC.
The first time we did it they ranged in age from 18mths-10 years.
My mum comes to our house and looks after them.

yes, left them for 2 weeks for our honeymoon, 1 week with each set of gps. The kids, 2 and 5, had a great time, as did we, altough i did worry loads about it before we went.

Left them with DH for 10 days while I climbed Kilimanjaro. They were 4 and 3 at the time and I missed them horribly. I had previously left them with him for a week but somehow 10 days was far too long.
