Please recommend a cream I can use on my baby's forehead?

HV recommended olitum but it seems to burn ds as he goes really red when it's applied.

yes, the olive oil is just the stuff you cook with. You can buy aveeno in boots etc or get it on prescription.

Yes, the stuff you cook with. We were told to use it for baby massage at my post natal group and it does leave the skin soft. Only a little bit, and massage it in.

I found olive oil way to heavy and made my ds skin worse. Coconut oil is much better. Light oil that sinks in well.

I love allergenics from holland&barratt it worked amazingly on dd.

Oilatum made my DD's head worse as well. Doublebase from the drs, great stuff. Doesn't smell weird and not greasy.

PS - also got some dermalo from Dr to add to baths as water v hard in our area. Its helped at lot.

Try Vaseline, it's hypoallergenic and works wonders on dry baby skin.

If it's just dry skin, often do you bath him? My DS got very dry skin when we bathed him every day, it went away when we switched to every couple of days.

DD1 had to get a steroid cream as a baby because of a freak breakout of eczema. One thin application and it was away.

DD2 has been prescribed Fucidin H for her cradle cap and we use it on a little patch on her shoulder too.

If its just dry then the suggestions above are good. Especially the bathing less. The GP told me to bath DD1 more often I cut right back to once a week and her skin cleared right up.

He has cradle cap and a few patches of dry skin on his shoulder and side of his face. The oilatum makes it so angry; I'm going to try coconut oil. I have some virgin, organic coconut oil in the house. It says adults can eat it, so it must be gentle enough for me to apply to the skin surely?

Yes that's fine that's what I used but aveeno and the waitrose bottom butter was also good.

Epiderm ointment or cream. You can get in in boots the ointment worked a treat on dry skin and my DS is super sensitive.

Double base is the best thing I've found. I couldn't bring myself to oil DS.

Doctor recommended almond oil for cradle cap and general dry skin. I massage my babies with it after their bath ( which is just in plain water). Their skin is lovely ( having been dry when they were born) and cradle cap is clearing nicely.

Well I started with MooGoo yesterday and the cradle cap is almost gone today!
