shampoo/conditioner for toddlers

Do you use a conditioner on your toddler's hair as well as shampoo?

DD is 3 and her hair is very fine and dry and up until now I haven't used anything other than baby shampoo as all the big bottles I was bought in hampers for when she was born have taken ages to get through!

When I washed her hair tonight, I noticed that it doesn't feel nice and silky smooth after a wash like mine does after conditioning and it made me wonder...

Just not sure which brand to go for and whether I should use separate S&C or an all-in-one. Any recommendations?

i'd suggest you just use the same as whatever's on your hair, unless obviously it's specifically for coloured hair or particularly expensive or something. alberto balsam's a cheap one that does the job most of the time. adding a bit extra, combing through and leaving it on for a while as she plays in the bath helps if particularly tangled :)

I use conditioner on DD's hair as its fine and curly with a tendency to knot and dreadlock so I can get the tangle teezer through it more easily in the bath.

I use shampoo and seperate conditioner for dd2. Her hair didn't grow for ages but suddenly in last few months it has grown loads and is very curly (and BIG if not conditioned!)

I use either dentinox cradle cap shampoo or dove moisturising shampoo and dove conditioner and it makes her hair lovely and soft.
We tried the loreal kids strawberry 2in1 but the smell made dcs feel nauseous weirdly so chucked it away!

I'd use conditioner. I remember when I was little how much it hurt to have my hair brushed, until my mum decided to start using conditioner. It changed everything! I loved the Johnson's one when I was little, it was pink, not sure if it's still the same but I'm sure they do a conditioner.

i use Johnsons shampoo and conditioner (the green de-tangling one) on my DD's hair, she has wicked curly hair which tends to look dry and knotty if just shampooed, but this keeps it lovely and shiney and more important, knot free!!!

We use naked 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner on DD (3). It was recommended on here a while ago.

It smells gorgeous and leaves her hair tangle-free.

I use Mop Pear shampoo and detangling spray . It's fab.

I second the Naked Toffee Apple 2-in-1. It smells so gorgeous I have to sniff DS' hair for ages each evening

I've always used organic stuff, so I use green people and their organic children/babies range. Twins use the scent free shampoo and wash and ds1 and dd use the organic children - lavender scented.
