no 1's before no 2's!!!!????

Hi, ds1 is 3 and just started wearing pants at his request. He is fine and dry in the day no problems but he seems to have no idea at all about no 2's! Is this common? Does anyone have any suggestions how to help him catch up!!! It is quite a messy situation!

Hi. My ds is 3.2 and we have been toilet trained for about 2 weeks. In the beginning, I had to watch him for no 2's. I could normally tell when he wanted to go as he said he had tummy ache or was cold. I just took him to the toilet, sat him on his seat and spent 1/2 hour reading books with him. Eventually, he has realised what sensation means he needs to go. Don't give up - keep trying. He will get it eventually.

Very common. Ds always had to hide in a corner for poos. Learnt to run and grab him when he went quiet and sling him on the loo.
