Urggh - Bugaboo Bee Plus seat jammed in recline - any tips please?!

Hello!

This is my first ever post on Mumsnet... :)

So the spanking new Bugaboo Bee which has only been used for indoor naps up until now (I've gone everywhere with my DS, now nine months old, in a sling so far) seems to be jammed. The seat is rear-facing and fully reclined, but the white lever with three dots will not budge.

Is there a trick I'm missing? Does something need to be moved/switched/in place first? I've jiggled the lever, put the footrest up and down, put the brake on and off, released the handle clips... but nothing happening. The top part of the seat does lengthen up and down.

Has anyone found a number to call? I've emailed the Bugaboo service people and will call the retailer we bought from tomorrow... but in the meantime thought I'd try here...

Any help much much appreciated. I've found threads on this but they date 2010 which was an earlier model. The one I have was released January 2011 and has a slightly different lever.

Have you tried just very slowly pulling it up? Don't squeeze it fully just a 1/4 of the way. Is the harness trapped in anything?
Also have you tried pulling the black bit (above the white recline button) for the seat height up and down. I.e make seat as tall as it will go then as short as it will go?

Mine does this when the buggy isn'y fully unfolded. You might have undoe it when you released the handle clips.

In case you haven't done it before, undo the handle clips, put your foot down on the bar where the brake is, and pull the arms upwards. There should be an audible click on each side where you will see the arrows.

Then close the buggy clips and try the recline again. Hope it works!

PS I am not really one to advise as I didn't know you could put the seat height up and down!!

Oh dear this reminds when I was unable to fold down my buggy and was unable to get home as it wouldn't fit in my car!
