huggies - nearest similar nappies

Huggies nappies have disappeared in my local supermarket, I understand that they are being discontinued. I have used them for 4 years with both dcs. Bought some Tesco own brand pull up nappies for my DD to replace her huggies size 6 but we have had a number of leaks. Anyone got some helpful tips on decent nappies similar to huggies, my DD is big for her age so her bottom is on the bigger side for a 2 year old! Thanks! Off to the supermarket tomorrow...

I don't know if this will help but I managed to get huggies pull up nappies in size 6 for my 2 year old in boots. They were only £5 a pack too. You might want to try your local boots incase they still have them. Otherwise I have found that pampers easy up is ok in size 6 and good value for money when you get them on offer.

I find Sainsburys own nappies (the dry ones, not eco/action fit ones) just as good as Huggies and on the generous side in regards to fitting.

Aldi are fantastic and i used Huggies to start out with.

I am not up to those sizes yet but I find asda own brand are more generous in size than Tesco or Aldi. I do just buy tesco when I am shopping there.

Thanks all! On a nappy tour of my local town I discovered huggies are still on sale in boots and Sainsbury's but £9.99 a pack, whereas they were £6 in tesco. Have bought boots own brand, and will use a process of elimination to find the best. Cheers everyone!

I used to rate ASDA little angels.

Oh no have they started to disappear already? I thought it would be ages :(

Lidl nappies are the best in my experience.

I'm trying the Asda little angels at present and they're passing the DD test.

I tried the Aldi ones and found them slightly plasticky.

Update! Boots own brand nappies (with cow and sheep on front) are holding fast so far. And so much cheaper than huggies, bonus! X

I found Boots own brand very similar to Huggies, but prefer Asda Little Angels to either of them.

Morrisons, they're the same manufacturer as Huggies.

I usually use Aldi or Lidl nappies. Huggies were rubbish for all 3 of my DCs .

I can only conclude that different nappies fit different bottoms best .

I have some Morrisons ones to use next (as that is where I happened to shop last). Not too hopeful now that I know they are the same as Huggies!
