Uppababy vista in black taxi??

Hello everyone

Have been lurking for a while but this is my first post. Mumsnet classics is my go to topic when I need a laugh - amazing.

Anyway - I need to go into central London this afternoon with my 10 month old and may well need to get into a black cab at some point. I won't have a car seat with me but will have buggy.

Has anyone wheeled an Uppababy Vista into a black cab and had child sitting in it while going along? Just can't work out whether it's going to fit and hoped someone here might have tried it! Thanks Smile

Anyone?? Or at least anyone with a similar sized buggy?

Looking at it it looks like it'd fit, we've taken various buggies in FIL's cab with a child strapped in.

Thank you for your reply, will hope for best! Thinking if you can fit a wheelchair in a black taxi, should be able to fit buggy in. Fingers crossed.

Could you not put your carseat (assuming you have one) on the chassis of the Vista? Then your baby can travel as safely as possible in the taxi properly buckled up. If that isn't an option then surely you could remove the carrycot, put it in the taxi with baby in it and collapse the chassis if the whole thing doesn't fit in. In my opinion, you should go for properly secured car seat whenever possible.

I didn't need a taxi in the end so it wasn't an issue, but she's not in the baby car seat anymore so I couldn't take that, otherwise that's exactly what I would have done!

Not sure , but in future we use the bugaboo cameleon in a black cab on a regular basis, so if it's approx the same size it should be ok

Great, thanks. They're a pretty similar size so that's good to know Smile
