No naps, screeching noise and teething -- 4.5 month old help!!!

Hello,
My 4.5 month old has suddenly stopped napping in the day, unless she is going along in the baby carrier. She is also very clingy, teething, and makes an extremely high-pitched shriek, seemingly for fun. She cannot bear it when we leave her alone (i.e. in her cot to go to sleep). But she used to be fine, just go to sleep quickly in her basket/cot and have several long naps each day. Is there anything I can do to get her to nap outside the baby carrier (so heavy!)? Also, does anyone know how long teething lasts for?!
Thanks

Google the 4 month sleep regression. Also have a look at proper slings such as the manduca / connecta / ergo etc. I found a Baby Bjorn made DS really heavy but when I had a connecta it was like a dream with DD.

Babies change all the time. You think you have figured it out and it all goes to pot.

Oh hell I've been going the last couple of weeks with this. It's awful.
I've started sleep training with a mixture of ferber and pick up put down. We're on day 3 and things are starting to improve. naps are still tricky but getting there.
The nap stand off lasted a good 10 days and hourly wakings. I was so tired I was hallucinating.
I think the teething thing is day by day. Some days furious finger biting and pink cheeks and others just finger sucking. No actual teeth yet though, she started at 13 weeks and we're on week 18 today

Are you in my house? I've got the same here. Smile
