Got this seat for my 5 week ds but do you think it's safe? Picture included!

this ziggy zebra seat

My dm bought it for my ds and it's meant to be suitable for newborns. However when we put him in the seat there was nothing to support his head and it was sort of almost rolling around. Obviously I haven't put him in it since but I just wanted some mumsnet wisdom on whether or not I should use it.

Does anyone else have one?

You could try a headhugger type thing for a bit more support?

You could probably find one on eBay too.

Does it have a setting where it reclines to almost horizontal? I have a baby swing and for a newborn you're supposed to have it almost flat, then as they gain more control you can move the seat to be a bit more upright.

I'd have thought it was fine - their heads don't need to be immobilised, just supported so they don't drop back.

We had this. It has 3 recline positions. On its lowest it is almost flat.
