One year old with sickness

My one year old was sick twice last night within an hour of each other and had some diarrhoea with it. After that he slept soundly and hasn't been sick or had dirty nappies since. He had his bottle of milk and some toast for breakfast and has been ok with all of that. It's really peculiar how quickly he appears to have got over whatever he had. Just wondered if I should carry on as normal today with his feeding or if I should be witholding certain things? Sorry if this sounds a bit simple but its my first experience of sickness with him.

Thank you.

Maybe a day of bland foods?
They say BRAT- bananas, rice, apples, toast.
DS had a fever/ vomit bug last week and had no solids for 5 days but he had his milk so I wasn't worried. He is eating loads this week to make up for it.
