Poll - night nappies, which reusable is best?

I've heard ella's house bumhuggers and minki huggles are good? Ds is growing out of his unbleached tots and I'm wondering whether to use boosted fluffles or try something else?

I use pocket nappies at night.Did use minki's but dd2 has just outgrown hers and now using wee notions pocket nappy.
Very absorbant and you can choose your own design...very cute!

Flamesparrow · 02/05/2006 14:33

I like the fluffles - they have a pocket bit so you can booster them easily, and where they are microfibre they don't weigh a ton in the morning.

i like wee notions :)

i use motherease with booster pad adn airflow wrap. does the job, and none of this outgrowing nonsense.

Cappucino · 02/05/2006 15:11

minki huggles are great Smile

gingernutlover · 02/05/2006 19:35

tots bots unbleached nippa size 2 for dd at night, have used these since she was about 10lbs, did look like football with legs at time Grin but great absorbancy and will hopefully last til potty training. M'ease wrap on top of course

Jaysfirst · 02/05/2006 20:05

i have gone through some of the nappy threads and non mention 'one life nappies' i use these and find them to be brilliant, they are really absorbant, good fit (fully adjustable from 0mth - potty training) look lovely on and as they have a detachable booster system they are normally dry overnight on an airer...i bought the set ( about £200, but worth it) and got 20 nappies (all one size), nine waterproofs (three diff sizes) 100 nappy liners, bio soak, and two face clothes. My DD looks the cutest in them! Anyone else tried them?

starlover · 02/05/2006 20:07

ellas house are FAB! they're my absolute favourite nappy at the mo!

haven't used one at night yet though... we normally use a regular minki stuffable nappy with either a terry square in it, or 2 microfleece inserts (designed for use with fuzzi bunz)

jaysfirst.. i have a onelife nappy.. very similar to the motherease one size, only IMO not as nice.

Twiga · 02/05/2006 20:15

We just add in a booster to our tots bots at night seems to do the trick - me wrap over the lot.

vkone · 03/05/2006 14:20

I tried a Onelife at night on DS and it did work well boosted with hemp. I am also trying a Harmony nappy from the makers of Bumbles which is hemp, with a pocket. It's lovely and soft hemp fleece and worked a treat last night with a wool wrap and a hemp insert and despite DS being over 2 yrs the poppers are on the 2nd to smallest setting so I've high hopes of this one lasting him til potty training.

We did use Bumbles only at night til very recently but DS seems to have developed a slight intolerance of fleece so it's the Harmony or Bamboozles from now on (I like the idea that they are both anti-bacterial as 12 hrs is along time to have a nappy on!)

starlover · 03/05/2006 14:22

vkone i just got a harmony too! they're lovely aren't they?

vkone · 03/05/2006 14:25

Your the first person I've heard from who has one, they are just so soft Smile and I like the drying time too (had a horrible time trying to dry a Bumhugger last year so was put off hemp til now).

starlover · 03/05/2006 14:30

yeah, i love my bumhuggers, but couldn't use them all the time because of the drying!

i only just got my harmony... browsing kittykins and came upon it! lol

Bagpuss30 · 03/05/2006 14:44

Standard Minki stuffed with terries or prefolds or whatever Smile

any hemp nappy does need prewashing quite a lot.

my wonderoo was shit until it had been washed about 10 times!

Rach69 · 05/05/2006 09:52

Thanks for all the opinions, I see there is no consensus at all! I'm really looking for excuses to buy more nappies of course :) I am now in possession of a bumhugger - how many times would you suggest I pre-wash? Also, can it be tumble dried?

naturemum · 05/05/2006 11:26

I vote for minki huggles too. Very absorbent. Although a boosted Bamboozle works well too! All with ME airflow wrap.

Tatties · 05/05/2006 11:52

I have a Harmony too! It is good boosted with a couple of microfibre cloths at night, but my absolute favourite is the \link{http://www.kittykins.co.uk/cloth-nappies/type/5/brand/happy+heinys\Happy Hempy}, stuffed with a terry square. The hemp doesn't go stiff like my other hemp nappies, and with fleece lining it is really soft. Also the velcro isn't right at the top of the nappy so it doesn't rub ds's tummy like TotsBots sometimes do. It is the only nappy which has never leaked at night

satine · 05/05/2006 11:56

I have a lollipop rainbow microfibre nappy which you stuff with a prefold/terry/whatever. I love it, it doesn't leak (and my kids wee a lot) and it dries in minutes. And it's SO soft!

starlover · 05/05/2006 12:02

rach, i only prewashed my bumhugger once... but i made sure to only use it during the day for the first few times so i could guage absorbancy!

GirlySquare · 05/05/2006 12:42

i use motherease with booster pad and airflow wrap too - got them off eBay very reasonable (poppolino are supposed to be similar and booster comes free with nappy)

DebsJM · 05/05/2006 21:21

Yes I too use Minki Huggle with motherease airflow wrap. FInd these are great on my little man. Also use boosted original tots and although I haven't used them at night, imagine a boosted fluffle would do well.
