my washing machine is a flood with soap suds!!

I thought I would prewash all my new nappies to save me some time later. I still have 11 weeks to go but wanted to get this done while I still have the energy and was then going to wash them nearer my due date just to freshen them up.

I bought some Non Bio Tablets used one (1/2 the recommended amount) and washed them once on a 60 degree wash, that was ok. Washed them for the second time again one tablet on a 60 degree wash and again all ok. This time I have done exactly the same thing but added a slug of white vinegar into the fabric softener drawer as I live in a very hard water area and now the washing machine is a flood with soap suds!!

What have I done wrong, was it the vinegar.

Any help please?

Thanks

wash them again without any soap. You've caused a build up of powder by the sounds of it. I use about a dessert spoon of powder when I wash my nappies.

Yup, I'd agree with YG. I find loose powder the best option with nappies. I use a teeny bit of surcare, and every 3rd wash or so give them an extra rinse with just vinegar.

I wouldnt worry. I remember this happened to me once in a while when I was using terries. No harm done.
