DS will not let me near. He is happy to hold the toothbrush himself and even sook off the toothpaste but no entry to anyone else.

We use a clear rubber toothbrush that I bought in Sainsbury's and give it to him to chew - it has rubber bristles and is sort of the shape of a little gum. Basically by chewing it his teeth get a good rubbing. So we rarely need to do anything ourselves.

I asked my dentist about cleaning his teeth and expained what we do and she said it was fine and not to bother with toothpaste until he's about 2 because at this age he'll just swallow it. The main thing is to rub the teeth - she suggested rubbing with a bit of cloth if they'll let it.

I have the clear thing from sainsburys too, it is brilliant and saves lots of teeth brushing battles!

Used the finger toothbrushes you can get - the Dentinox toothpaste comes with one in the box.
