3 month old hates buggy and baby Bjorn

How can I get my lovely baby to Like /tolerate baby Bjorn or buggy other than ignorIng him cry? I don't want to do that as he is a little love and simply wants to be carried - he barely cries at home despite being left to lie down / be in chair quite a lot so it's something about feeling constrained I think. I need to make progress as my lovely two year old lives being outside and not feeling confident about going to park with them both without baby crying is making things a bit tricky especially as my toddler really is happier when he has burnt off energy. Any advice gratefully received xxxx

How is his head control? Just wondering if he might prefer to face outwards in your BabyBjorn so he can see everything that is going on? I have a BabyBjorn too - dd is 4 months and I think I need to switch her to outward-facing as she is getting a bit big to be facing me, although she seems to like that and often dozes off. Does he settle in it after a while of walking? Dd doesn't like being put in it but settles after I've power-walked a hundred yards!

My dd is now five months and I have various slings and carriers including a Bjorn....she always cries when put in but is fine once I start walking. With the buggy she also cries when strapped in but is fine once we start walking. Maybe yours will be similar as the poster above says...? Hth

Head control is great. I think you are right because my toddler often isn't going far or fast he isn't distracted so gets uncomfortable - not quite sure what to do about it! Xxx

My dd screamed when lying down in the buggy from a young age. So she sat up earlier than perhaps I would have chosen. Our buggy has various stages between lying flat and fully upright and we just slowly lifted it up as she got older.

My little one didn't like his either to start with. I started using them indoors first, in small doses, to get him used to them. He now loves them - especially his baby bjorn. He now falls asleep in his carrier the minute I walk out the door. Good luck. I know how important it is to get out

Have you tried a stretchy wrap sling as opposed to the bjorn? My DD did not like the bjorn at all but was more than happy in a wrap sling. I don't think they feel as restrictive, but are comfy and supportive.

Hi - my dd when thru phases of not liking buggy or Baby Bjorn - again, it was when she could face out that she got better and loves it now and also by then she was bigger so think the leg position was more comfortable. A lot of people slate the Baby Bjorns but there's no faffing - I do most of my housework with it and the facing out the position is perfect for bus/train journeys. I have the one with the back support as have a bad back - I always wear it and have seat bit under buggy for days when she's got bored with the buggy. I'd try facing out before paying for something new that she wont necessary like any better (been there!) x

My DS was a nightmare in his pram. We used the carrycot for only a couple of months and then moved to pushchair but it only helped a little. We bought a musical toy which helped a bit too and persevered. For short distances I used Babybjorn which he liked better. It was really hard and I often waited until he napped to go out. He got better at 5-6mo and now tolerates it really well (9mo).

Each day I would do small amounts with him in buggy sitting up a little bit looking outwards and then in baby bjorn around your living room or kitchen

talk to him all the time in jolly tone while you have a little slow walk around

Repeat often then progress to bigbadworld outdoors!

I did this with mine and it helped
