Recommended books for play ideas for toddler

Can anyone recommend any books for ideas of things to do at home with a toddler? I have a 2.2 year old and nearly 6 month old and need some ideas of things to do at home. I've had a quick look on amazon but nothing jumps out at me. I need some inspiration!

You don't state what kind of things you're looking for, I.e. educational or games or crafty stuff, but I find loads of inspiration for all of the above on Pinterest,
Type in kids activities or craft and you'll find endless fab ideas for at home activities.
Cheap, easy!
There's also a good US site / blog by a SAHM called 'hands on as we grow' with activities by age.
I have a good outdoor activity book called 'make it wild' which I recommend if you are in or can get out into countryside.

There is a website called 'the imagination tree' that has loads of great ideas.

Sorry I don;t know many books but I find the online websites are much better than books and free too! Blogs like Imagination Tree and Hands On As We Grow are fab, as they are blogs you can subscribe to feeds and I now get weekly ideas in my email. Also if you're on pinterest just search toddler activities or similar and thousands of ideas and links to craft/activity blogs pop up.

I got this when first DC was tiny and it has some nice ideas of things to do although I think you'd have to be slightly bonkers to do every single one and some of the things they expect a DC to be able to do are a bit ambitious. However, some good ideas.

I also have this and it is fab for basic art. It says 7+ but I was using it with a 3 year old. I would draw stuff and he would colour in. Obviously if he was older, he would do more on his own but I think he'll grow into it.

Have a look on Pinterest. You can browse by category or use a search term. Tons of great ideas on there.

I have a fair few books that have come from charity shops or second hand bookstores. They've been really great as DC2 is due in 7 weeks and I seem to have lost inspiration and most activities use stuff you normally have about the house.

The toddlers busy book and the preschooler version both by trish kuffner are on the side in the kitchen for quick access. Mixed reviews on amazon, but I paid a £1 each in a 2nd hand bookshop and am pleased with them.

I use Pinterest too, usually for activities I can pre-prepare. I have a board, my username is kellestar and the board is Craft with Bea, it's not just craft though.

There is a blog called rainy day mum which I use, similar age gap with hers for you. I also use pintrest!

Look on Facebook for 'play at home mom' I get loads of ideas from there she is amazing :-) its very Montessori based stuff and you will wish you had her giant immaculate house but she's so imaginative
