Ice skating became a very popular party when ours was that age. Hugely fun for the children, less so for the knackered, bruised parents trying to hold their kid upright for an hour.

this year dd had a 10-pin bowling party and her friend had a pamper party where they got their nails done and had a bit of glittery make up and lip gloss put on. We hired a hall and bouncy castle/inflatable slide for dd around that age a couple of years ago
