Clingy children driving me nuts.

They are 5 and 2 and don't leave me alone for a minute. It's driving me demented. I am typing this from the loo while my dd is whining at the door. I have tried intensively spending time with them then popping a DVD on so I can cook tea for example but they just follow me around regardless. Love them dearly but I can't hear myself think!

I was going to say spend half an hour quality time with them, make that one on one time even and don't check your phone, the cooking or anything else while you're at it. Then make yourself a cup of tea and tell them you are taking a five minute break. They will learn to respect your tea/coffee breaks. Even a two year old can understand. With time you could lengthen the breaks...

Am sorry to hear this ... It is very hard to deal with. Could be hidden sibling rivalry?

I think they are insecure. Dad works away in the week and I have been unwell for a long time so often have to go to bed during the day.

That is probably it.. Well I hope you have some help? Repeat to them something like:daddy is always coming back

Hope you get better soon. Do you have anyone in RL?
