My eldest 8 year old DD already does some chores around the house. DD and her younger brothers all have the same chores for £2.00 a week. They have too :
Keep their room tidy
All dirty washing in the washing basket
Bed made every morning when they get up
Any homework from school must be compleated
Dogs must be fed (They take it in turns)

They each have a white board which gets a tick when they have compleated their tasks.
My DD has just started going out with friends and would like some extra pocket money. I have said she can have extra money if she does more chores.

I was wondering if you can tell me what your DCs do around the house or what they did when they were 8 because I can't really decided what would be okay for her to do.

Assist in washing up/unload of dishwasher?
Assist in laundry?
Helping wash car?
Walking dog? Depends where u are....
Keeping toy box/area tidy before bed?
Clean a kitchen cupboard for u? Sort tins?
Sweep leaves?

I'm going on what I did as a kid. Do might be an old list! I had to help even if I was technically poss too little to handle alone eg I helped in dishwasher but mum removed glasses/knives first.

Thank you. Yes she could do some of those things.
