Right - which size child are you wanting cloth to fit? One or both? I have some nappies here waiting to sell - can send you a size 2 rainbow tots, a size 2 kissaluv, and a large wrap (ooh, and a nappy nippa to do up the tots). You try em out, if you like, you buy, if not, you post back? Deal?

I'll even add in a size 1 bamboozle...

fastasleep · 29/04/2006 15:39

Go on then, DS is a wee skinny teeny thing of a 2 year old and DD is an average 6 month old size (they'll fit one of them)

do I need to get liners in advance?

DH is going to murder me Grin

Anyone else got free/trial/very cheap nappies around? (I'm sooo cheeky) Blush

Medium size is best (I think!!?)

FA he is not going to be pleased, is he?? Shock Grin

Socci · 29/04/2006 18:26

I haven't read the whole thread so don't know what others have recommended but Fuzzi Bunz are good because they dry really quickly, and I would say they are less work than some of the other brands.

Flamesparrow · 29/04/2006 20:28

Shock You think I'd send em without a handful of disposable liners??? Shame on you!

Methinks I can never meet your DH in rl... first I send pregnancy tests when he doesn't want you testin, then I send nappies... BlushGrin

fastasleep · 29/04/2006 21:50

Flamey he's lovely really, honest!

He says if I get the nappies he aint changing them - so be it.

\link{www.washabums.co.uk\washabums} often have people selling nappies too.

DH muttered about not changing too, about 2 months later realised how much we were saving, and decided that he liked em after all Wink

BonyM · 30/04/2006 12:02

fastasleep - I have some medium Bamboozles (nippa), Kissaluvs, one Fuzzi Bunz and a Wee Notions that I want to sell - if you want to try any of them first I can send them to you.

Email mazmc66 at yahoo dot com

fastasleep · 30/04/2006 20:40

starlover · 30/04/2006 20:41

i wash mine at 60

LeahE · 30/04/2006 22:43

I normally wash at 40 with the occasional wash at 60.

lunavix · 30/04/2006 23:01

I might have something I can dig up for you fastasleep...

I on the other hand think that the washing machine can go stinkey using reusables - but this is because ours is a drier too. They come out smelling very odd if you dry them. So we limit drying them to once every month or so (makes them nice and soft).

peaches27 · 01/05/2006 11:39

I would be interested to know how the smell comes about. I used terry nappies years ago with my first born and had no funny smell, but we had a separate washer and dryer. I used to soak and just use the washer to rinse, then once in a while do a 95 degree wash to keep them snowy white. But that was the old fashioned way!

In those days we used to use Milton to sterilise our bottles, which was good for 24 hours, then you poured your milton into the nappy bucket and in went your nappies.

chipmonkey · 01/05/2006 12:43

Don't think you could use Milton on lovely coloured nappies now though. I accidentally got Milton on a coloured Terry wipe and got a lovely tie-dye effect.

fastasleep · 01/05/2006 16:16

My email didn't work!

I'm just in need of medium wraps really now, have almost bought everything else, except liners, I guess I'll got to the cheapo fabrc shop for some fleece :)

Flamesparrow · 01/05/2006 19:01

Pssst, a medium wrap also coming your way Wink

BonyM · 02/05/2006 11:12

Was it my email that didn't work? If so, try .co.uk - can never remember which it is!

peaches27 · 02/05/2006 12:34

Youre right Chip, but it would be OK with terries and prefolds. I suppose its bleach. I only mentioned it because I remembered how I used to do it and it might interest someone.
