Its really wierd one minute he is laughing his head off then it turns into him crying his little heart out.

Could he be overstimulated and overtired? Sounds like it.

Agree with paperclips - overstimulated and getting hysterical, needing to sleep. I'd be expecting him to be awake for no more than 2 hours at 5m.
