What do you do with your 2.5 year old & baby?

Need ideas please to keep both DC happy & occupied, DD is 2.5, DS is nearly 9 months.

DS really wants to be on the move rather than being strapped in a pram/car seat; DD wants to be close to me as she's still settling at nursery so is a bit clingy.

Soft play is a no-go Grin

The library? Dd could roam around pulling books down while I read to ds.

Park - although takes a bit of juggling.

Playdates?

Do you want to get out, or have ideas for home?
Park, park, tesco, park about my limit of getting out with the kids some weeks!

At home, make an assault course with sofa cushions, a blanket "tunnel" balloons to throw etc, or make a cave with chairs and blanket.

Get the nappy boxes if yours come like that, or other big boxes, and turn them into castles, cars, ships, trains.

Get an old roll of wallpaper, draw round the kids onto the paper, and then let them loose colouring themselves in.

Cooking (yes, I'm serious. Mine have loved it from old enough to sit in a booster seat). 2 is a bit of a juggle.

I used to take mine to a family music class that welcomed a range of ages. Both loved it.
