Surprised at DD1s Food Diary

As part of a Science Assignment, DD1 (8) was asked to complete a Food Diary for a week. We started last Saturday and finishing today.

I always thought perhaps she ate too much junk, like chocolate/biscuits/crisps but after detailing every single thing that has passed her mouth this week I have been very surprised to find that :

a) on average she eats 4x veg/fruit a day. Yesterday, she managed 9 lots of different fruit and veg!

b) Chocolate - she had a chocolate bar on Monday after swimming lessons and had a Mini Milky Bar after school today.

c) No crisps or sweets at all.

d) She had 2 biscuits after school on Tuesday.

I think I might do this every now and then just to keep track of what they're eating!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

WOW...that is good.
We manage about 5 bits of fruit and veg per week and 9 bits of chocolate in a day
