Hi there

My LO is ebf and I have been trying to introduce a bottle as I will be returning to work in April. I'm getting nowhere and starting to panic. He drinks water from a sippy cup, but if I put my milk in it he won't touch it. When I go back to work he will be 11 months - will he be okay with just water during the day when with CM and ebf morning/eve? It's looking like that will be my only option. Also we feed to sleep before naps, what should I be doing so that he will nap at the CM? TIA for any suggestions x

At 11 months Lo will be fine with cows milk in a cup and solids at nursery. That's what both of mine did although admittedly they didn't drink much if the milk.

If you ring one of the bfing helplines they should be able to help you come up with a returning to work plan Smile

My DD is a lot younger and ebf but we were trying to give her a bottle of bm every few days just so she was use to them and all was going well until one day she completely refused. We tried a couple of different bottles but the best one was NUK with a latex teat, it's shaped differently compared to others and ment to need the same kind of sucking motion as when there on the breast. It's worked for us, hope that some help
