My child has adhd my partner constantly swears at my child, hardly spends anytime with my child ie reading, cuddling, playing games, we constantly argue about the way he talks to my child, is it that dads are more withdrawn when it comes to boys? Im on a incredible years course atm learning to deal with difficult behavior, my partner works so he cant do the course with me so I always feed back to him about the best ways to deal with unwanted behavior, but he thinks im over riding him and always moaning and telling him what to do.

It isn't normal-he is being abusive. I would suggest parenting classes and if he isn't willing to change I would leave him.
When you say my child does this mean that he is not the natural father? If it isn't his child then I would definitely leave him-he seems to have missed the point that if he gets you then he gets a child- for life.

He shouldn't swear at you or your DS-end of story.

Your name suggests that he is a very young child-is he 6 or under?
