There was a poster on here the other night called Bolleaux.....

Anyhoo....I think its about time MN released another book. Although i suspect that some corners might resent (although i suspect that this may be the case already) the competition.

arfy · 26/04/2006 00:11

we've got to babies - must be toddlers next?

although i think MN should just do Mums on Style and be done with it

LadyTophamHatt · 26/04/2006 07:22

OMG..I have an over whelming urge to really rant with lots and lots of swear words.

I won't do it here though. I do want to upset anyone.

My lips are sealed, I'm not saying a word.....

Cadmum · 26/04/2006 12:28

Has this kicked off yet? Sorely tempted to read this thread as it must be the one that launches the REPORT THIS POST button...

WigWamBam · 26/04/2006 12:32

Well, I know I won't be buying it.

And now I'm going to have to sit on my hands to stop me from typing any more.

happybebe · 26/04/2006 12:33

Grin waits patiently hovering over refresh button!....

You are all being so strong! Amazing will power being demonstrated here. I sure wish that you would crack...Sad

Cadmum · 26/04/2006 13:01

The day is young, right?

PiccadillyCircus · 26/04/2006 13:01

I am not letting myself type for fear of what might happen.

happybebe · 26/04/2006 13:03

give me a G!!! give me an I!!! give me an N!!! give me an A!!!! GINA!!!! (runs out of post and hides lol)

Harpsichordcarrier · 26/04/2006 13:04

god I was just going to type "hahaha oh the delicious irony" when I realise hunker said exactly the same thing yesterday...

oliveoil · 26/04/2006 13:06

Well I don't face 'relentless critism and fear' and I couldn't give a flying fcuk whether anyone thinks I am a good or bad mother, they can keep their sticky beaks out of my life, thank you very much.

I don't need to read a book about it, yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn.

Your honour.

Tinker · 26/04/2006 13:08

What would be "relentless criticism"? "You're wrong, you're bad, you're wrong, you're bad You're wrong, you're bad, you're wrong, you're bad You're wrong, you're bad, you're wrong, you're bad You're wrong, you're bad, you're wrong, you're bad You're wrong, you're bad, you're wrong, you're bad You're wrong, you're bad, you're wrong, you're bad You're wrong, you're bad, you're wrong, you're bad..." all day long?

happybebe · 26/04/2006 13:11

hmm tinker i think that pretty much sums up relentless critisism! Grin

Harpsichordcarrier · 26/04/2006 13:13

I get a lot of fear, though, don't you oliveoil?

oliveoil · 26/04/2006 13:13

I am in a foul mood so bring it on.

happybebe · 26/04/2006 13:16

refresh....refresh...refresh...argh, repetative strain injury!

robin3 · 26/04/2006 13:34

I've said it before and I'll say it again....it's tragic that some sound advice that a great many parents find extremely useful is wrapped up in such an aggressive and negative way. The title of the new book just says that she's learnt nothing of motherhood. A great shame IMO.

blueshoes · 26/04/2006 13:43

exactly robin3. Too many journos and writers try on cheap shots by deliberately polarising the debate. Who cares? My £££ is safe.

Cadmum · 26/04/2006 13:49

happybebe: You don't intend to sue MN for the RSI do you? Oh how I long for a content baby and respite from tinker's relentless criticism. I'm so bad and so very wrong. If only I didn't live in fear.

edam · 26/04/2006 13:57

Oh bless her, she's riding to our rescue! Thank you St Gina, thank you. What would we do without you? Because we are clearly incapable of telling anyone who questions our parenting to mind their own damn business without shelling out £££s on a book written by a self-proclaimed expert...

Still, I guess she needs the money what with lawyer's bills and all.

happybebe · 26/04/2006 14:03

now you know cadmum the thought never entered my head until you put it there! RSI is very debilitating you know, might miss soemthing actually worth reading! Grin
