5 year old not sleeping due to yet another cold -mediised and cal cold no longer

Is there anything else apart form ok as and vic? As these don't work and my 5 year old is getting no sleep and is at school full time , she is so miserable with it.

Sorry to hear she isn't well. Have you tried steam or a nasal aspirator?

Get a humidifier. I have the Vicks one from Argos £40 and it makes a huge difference.
The steam isn't too hot but I would put it on a shelf or something just incase.
It also has a reservoir for putting some menthol oil so the steam mixes with it.

What part of the cold is keeping her awake?

Temperature, aches, cough?

Rather than dosing her up enough to sedate her, try the various things that are still available to treat the specific problem.

We often put a small bowl of water in our ds's rooms if they're bunged up. Seems to help a bit.
