warm days out for toddler in Midlands!?!..

I've got a rare day out with DC1 planned without little baby DC2 in tow and meeting a friend also with toddler in west midlands / general midlands area. This is a rare opportunity for a child friendly day /treat out which can be difficult to do single handedley in week with 2 little ones, but given the time of year wondered where to go?? Any suggestions (other than Birmingham Sealife as this works out quite expensive). Thanks

Wet midlands safari park is great if you drive - although it's quite pricey, you do get a free return visit with your ticket. Cobhouse fisheries(google it) are nice, with animals and nice cake too. botanical grdens in Brum? never been, but I imagine they'd be nice.
