I think the title says it all My mum is around for a bit then DH is taking paternity leave. Will have to pull DD out of nursery (was working while pg) and cut down DS due to financial constraints. Any strategies to get though the day will be appreciated. Obviously a lot will depend on how DD2 develops in regard to sleep etc but anything at all would be great.

Thanks!

Not been in your situation but a sling may help if baby is unsettled you can keep her close and BF (if you are) while moving about/ having hands free

The electronic babysitter! A short-term excess of cbeebies and disney dvds won't damage dd and ds in the long run and will lessen your stress at feeding time, when you're unable to get up and attend to them / play hide and seek or build a train track. You have to compromise with things like that in order to keep your sanity and make day to day life possible. All the best and congrats!

Mummy2benji - I am all about the compromise! At the end of the day if mummy isn't happy/sane then no-one is happy!!
