2 week old sniffles

Our 2 week old seems to have a runny nose this evening. He was up most of last night with wind. He sleeps on us but when he lies down he wakes after 10 minutes.
Midwife was due to come today but was snowed in. Should we wait and see if his nose gets worse ?
He is feeding well and has been alert . He's also been sneezing, but I understand that this is normal.

Poor little thing! My DS2 had a sniffle at three weeks and it was not nice for him. HV recommended saline nasal drops. It is good that he is feeding well. How does he sleep normally? Is he sleeping on you all of the time? We elevated the head of his Moses basket but on his worst night we ended up putting him in his bouncy chair, which worked wonders.

As he is so young ask midwife's advice. Hope this helps.
