Toothpaste for babies

We have started brushing our baby's teeth and have been using Aquafresh milk teeth for 0 - 3. We've only used a smear in the brush but since we've been doing it she's had bad diarrhoea. It's only today that I've made the connection in my head - is it possible that it is the toothpaste? It's 1000 ppm fluoride. I feel dreadful that we may have made her ill.

Never heard of a toothpaste reaction before but that doesn't mean its not it. Have you tried not using the toothpaste for a couple of days and then reintroducing it to see what happens?
