Yet another question about having three car seats...

Do is 9 and uses a booster seat, along with dd aged 5 who is in a High back booster. Dc3 is due in a couple of months and we cannot fit another car seat alongside in the back.

Ds is 144 cm tall but only 9- is it ok for him to sit in the middle of the rear seats without a booster seat? If there is only one adult in the car he can put the booster seat in the front. Or is there such a thing as a super slimline booster seat that would fit in the middle seat? The other two seats are a maxi cosi cabriofix and britax high back booster if that is relevant!

From my research I think legally it is ok not to use a booster seat but if there is another interpretation of the law or safety evidence I would be grateful to hear it. Or any tips and advice much appexiated! We have three separate seats in the rear but the middle seat is fairly narrow.

TIA

Why not use one of these? We have one for taking on holiday but it's also really easy to squeeze between 2 other seats (or 2 older children/adults).
