My DD is very frustrated in the carrycot of her chameleon as she wants to be sitting up, she is nearly 5 months and is very strong (sits up for short periods unsupported etc) can i use the seat unit yet or not as it says 6months but does anybody know why?
TIA

she'll be fine. Its to do with them being able to lie totally flat when asleep for long periods but at 5 months her buggy naps won;t be that long anyway. Put the carrycot in the loft for the next one Wink

I agree with fairy; after some research I moved DD at 4 1/2 months and it was fine.

I wouldn't worry, unless she's napping on the Bugaboo for hours.

Thanks for the advice, she was much happier being able to see properly! But I will put her back in the carrycot if she is going to be in it for a while/at bedtime thanks Smile

Agree it's fine, know someone who used it even younger due to reflux problems.

We have the chameleon, and ds hated lying down, coukd never get him to sleep. We changed right after 4 months (he could sit though) and hes been so much happier and actually manages to sleep! We have him upright (the middle setting) normally and would put it flat when he fell asleep for the first month or so, but then just left it.

The carrycot is only up to 9kg anyway, so ds was too big by 5 months and wouldve had to swop...

I was old by an independent pushchair retailer that the reason everything is from birth or from six months is that the uk doesn't had a standardised test for suitable from three months.

I don't know if that's true but their comment was that other countries do and so some pushchairs would be lumped into the from
Six months catagory in the uk and from three months in other countries.

Not sure how that helps you but I found it interesting. Others might be able to confirm or refute this!

Whilst on the subject of bugaboo (so sorry to high jack) I just wondered-where do you put your nappy bags??
My 6wo is still in the carrycot and if I want to feed her whilst out I have to take the whole carrycot part off to get to my nappy bag that's in the storage bit underneath.
It just doesn't seem right/safe to me?!
mine is also the chameleon
Thanks x

Over the handle by the shoulder strap Bex or use buggy buddy clips or bag hooks like these or these to attach at the sides, really depends on your style of bag.
