Kindle Paperwhite - breast feeding god-send

I got a Kindle Paperwhite (the one that's integrally back lit) for Christmas & am loving it. Am gutted it didn't exist six years ago when I started breast feeding - it's light enough to be used single handed & can be used in a darkened room (to reduce baby waking).

Been using this week to keep myself occupied whilst comforting a snooty toddler. If you like reading & have a small / baby then I'd recommend it heartily. (It doesn't have to be a Kindle - there's also a backlit Kobo too. Team either with Calibre software & get reading without waking the baby or dropping a large volume on them.)

I asked for one for Christmas for the same reason!

I've got the kobo. Got it xmas 2012. I wouldn't be without it. Read my books or browse mn if I feel like. Certainly passes the time while bf! Rarely use my pc now as I do it all on my lovely kobo. Best pressie ever.

Just wish I'd had one with dc1! Dc2 slept so much better.

I've had a Kindle 2nd gen (from back when you had to order them from the US) and I've never been tempted to upgrade until the Paperwhite came out. I have a little LED light though that shouldn't disturb DC2 too much so I think I'll stick with it for now. Agree Kindle (or any ereader) is sooo awesome while breastfeeding (iPhone isn't bad either for middle of the night mumsnetting!).
