'Singing Together' Songbooks

Hello.

I came across this site whilst looking for the words to 'The Brontosaurus Song'. Myself and others on the 'Singing Together' thread of another forum have been searching for the words for almost a year now. This latest search brought me to a discussion on here (from 2002, I think) about the songbooks. Does anyone here have the words to 'The Brontosaurus Song'? We'd be ever so grateful if you can provide them. Thanks.

I do remember singing a song about Brontosauruses (sauri??), and we did do Singing Together at school. However, the song I'm thinking of was extremely monotonous, and just repeated the words "Brontosaurus on the prowl, brontosaurus on the prowl" on one note, so I guess it's not that one you're trying to remember

Not sure, tamum, as I don't remember the song at all. One lady's husband reckons these words are part of the song...

'And indeed, Sir, it's true, Sir
I've never been known to lie
And if you go to Zuckton, Sir,
You'll see him as well as I'

Anyway, thanks for replying

Oo no, that sounds far more interesting than mine! I am so sad that I typed one of the lines from your version into Google to see if I got any hits, and got this site . If you scroll down about two thirds of the way, there is a very similar lyric, only about a Derby Ram:
"And indeed, sir, it's true, sir I was never given to lie,
If you had ever been to Derby, sir, you'd have seen it as well as I."
Hope that helps, though I kind of doubt it!

Yes, someone else said that earlier today on the other forum. It does sound similar. I'll check out the site you gave me. Thanks

Okay. It's not a forum as such, but we use the message boards to chat on. It's Friends Reunited (UK one). It'd be nice if you could join in our thread but, unless you're already a member, you'd have to pay £7.50 to post messages on there

Bron,

Thank you so much for answering. I'll take the words back to FR and see if it's the song they are looking for. I'll let you know how it goes. Once again, thanks a million.
