I feel like a big fat failure today

I can't seem to get anything done roght for my kids.

Dd1 is 15, and has been on the waiting list for spinal surgery for a year. She is in pain and on daily painkillers, can no longer do dancing or pe.
I've chased the hospital up yet again today, and as usual they have no idea when she will get her surgery as there is a backlog.
I reviously had to get my MP involved just to get her seen there in the first place.

Ds is 10, he is a lovely boy but has some issues. He hates school, he's just never seemed to grasp that it's not optional. He is in yr 5 now, and since yr1/2 has been on and off iep's because he falls behind etc, and he also has/had anger issues. He was under camhs, who diagnosed him with ODD and then left us to it.
School are worse than shit, and never do what they say they will.
Today a mum of a lad in his class has come up to me to tell me that my son has been bullying/picking on her son since YEAR ONE and that the school are aware of it, and she has been in several times.
The school have never ever mentioned this to me at all.
I want to move him to a new school cos i've had enough, but i can't because I also mind my friends dd (all above board, self employed etc), and so if i move my ds, i also lose my job (i'm not registered cos she is over 8).

I feel like I can't do anything to help dd or ds and that I should be able to.

Go and see your GP and ask them to try to expedite dd's surgery - they may be able to speed it up for you. Certainly not your fault that it is taking so long, but frustrating for you I can imagine. Bizarre that the school haven't mentioned the alleged bullying to you - maybe there is more to it? If I were you I'd make an appointment to see his form teacher and ask what is going on.

Hi and thank's.

I have an appointment with the senco and pastoral mentor tomorrow morning now. Ds has been in tears over the whole thing since he got home, and clearly more is going on than I have been told.

I will try and see dd's gp again, but tbh in the past they've not been very helpful. Might contact the mp again and see if he can help.
