Short naps..... Again

There have been lots of threads about short naps, and people post back saying sleep in arms, sling, walk etc.

I have tried all if these and more, but still short naps, and only 3 a day (3mo btw).

Anyone in the same position?

Not sure how short they are but DS had around 3 x 45 min naps at that age. He would wake crying & rubbing his eyes as though he was still tired. sometimes If I got to him quickly enough i could pop his dummy in & he'd go back to sleep but often he was too alert. I think their sleep cycles are around 45 mins at that age & dont lengthen until they're a little older. DS's naps didn't start to lengthen till he was 5 months+ He now regularly has 2 hour afternoon naps. Have you heard of 'wake to sleep' never tried it but might be worth a google.

I have the same problem. DS is 15 weeks old. I've tried all the things you mention he still only sleeps very briefly.

So unfortunately I don't have an answer! I have just been trying to get him to nap more frequently. It helps a bit if i try before he is too tired, ie after about 1.5 to 2 hours. Feeding in a darkened room is most likely to work for my DS. He still only has little short catnaps but i figure at least lots of these is better than nothing.
