She just turned two and is a nightmare at bedtime. We need to crack the initial thing of her going to sleep alone as she never has. Is she old enough for bribing I wonder? Anyone have any experience of this?

Marking my place on this as we waver with our nearly 2 year old DD between not wanting to go to bed, and waking up in the night/early hours and refusing to lie down again.

I have a just two year old and I would say she is too young tbh.

What is her current routine and what are the problems?

I have a two and a half year old. We have successfully brubed him into bring toilet trained (removed all treats and telly, gave him chocolate for jobby, jelly babies for weewee). Took three days. Rewards were dropped after couple of weeks.

We bribe him re sleeping too. If he goes through the night he is allwed to watch cbeebes in the morning. It works for us.

my 23month old wouldn't have a clue, her 4.5 year old sister only just got the idea of a reward chart when she was 3.6 so I would say no.
Unless they are ill, we find that being firm and consistent is the only thing that works at night.
